Job Description:
DEFAW Organization is seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer/Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about using design and multimedia to convey impactful messages, raise awareness, and engage our audience. As a Graphic Designer/Video Editor, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from designing compelling visual content to editing inspiring videos that align with our organization’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Graphic Design:
- Create visually appealing and cohesive designs for various marketing materials, including social media posts, brochures, banners, posters, and newsletters.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop effective and eye-catching graphics for online and offline promotional campaigns.
- Ensure all designs align with DEFAW Organization’s branding guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity.
Video Editing:
- Edit and produce high-quality videos for promotional purposes, events, campaigns, and presentations.
- Utilize creative video editing techniques, motion graphics, and visual effects to enhance storytelling and engage the audience.
- Collaborate with content creators, scriptwriters, and other team members to bring compelling stories to life through videos.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver designs and videos that meet organizational objectives.
- Incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders to refine designs and videos, ensuring they effectively communicate the intended message.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in graphic design and video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and video editing software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of current trends in graphic design and video editing.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Fluency in English and Afghanistan National Languages
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, Film Production, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in graphic design and video editing roles.
